The Quest to Make the Ultimate Polo

Our quest was to make the ultimate Polo shirt that combines style and function.  We started with the construction, a captains collar which is a modern take on the one worn frequently by JFK seaside.  Its a Milano collar that’s stands up perfectly like a dress shirt when worn on its own or under blazer.  It’s a dress shirt collar on a polo, finally.

The inspiration was my time spent on the water this summer but also the tennis court.  I love this polo because it has all the details and ingrediients of our stretch performance pieces: breathability, stretch, comfort and drape.  The perfect day to night piece as we move through this last month of summer sun.

Fit – Extended wider shoulders to give you ultimate comfort under a jacket or on warmer days. With a classic fit in body. Higher armhole on the shirt for movement with wider sleeves that can be worn normally or double rolled with a cuff for that stylist James Dean look. 

The Fabric – AIRTEX Pique from Albini of Italy. Perfect blend of stretch and structure.

Details – Milano collar stands crisp on its own or under a jacket.  Smaller size to be worn buttoned to the top “air tie” style.
