A look back at the 6 years working with the Toronto Raptors on the exclusive “Drake Night” looks. As a global ambassador to the Raptors, Drake’s style expertly combines sport and masculinity with a tailored approach; changing up the shirt with a roll neck or wearing an overcoat as sportswear.
As tailor to artists, athletes, and actors, we toon an innovative, sportswear approach in creating ultra-personalized pieces to show Drake’s love to the team and his city. The Garrison Bespoke Drake Night suits were presented to Drake’s by the Reports at the Scotiabank Area before tip-off on Tuesday, May 21, 2019.

Ultra Extravagance:
$550K Diamond-Adorned Sports Jacket
Garrison Bespoke, best known for creating The Bulletproof Suit and dressing the cast of Suits, revealed their latest project - a 235 handset diamond sports jacket for Drake with a $550,000 USD price tag and 100-year-old archival deadstock jersey cloth from the House of Dormeiul’s private collection.
Each season since 2015 when Drake became the Raptors’ global ambassador, Garrison Bespoke has presented custom pieces to the Canadian rapper. This season’s one-of-one sports jacket, the Drake Night suits Toronto, ON, was one year and six months in development and took three months to create.
Custom OVO Raptors Jersey lining
The jacket’s custom liner is the signature black and gold OVO Raptors jersey Drake personally had a hand in designing.
235 Handset Diamonds
Custom settings were created for each individual diamond so that they could be perfectly-pieced together to form the iconic OVO owl.
1.2-Carat Diamond Lapel
1.2-carat diamond pin sparkles on the left lapel. Sustainable, lab-grown diamonds from the world’s only certified carbon neutral diamond company, Diamond Foundry, were sources to gratify Drake’s well-documented love of diamonds.

Make of stretch wild velvet, the front fastening is done with hidden Riri zippers that allow it to be zipped right to the neck to go from formal to casual.

Double face cashmere from our own @yearsco in the theme of the Toronto Huskies. Made with the classic blue liner inside and finished throughout with fur.

COAT X OVO RAPORTS JERSEY
Made of extra thick ripple finish cashmere (looks like jersey but it ultra luxe), lines with OVO Raptors Season 1 black and gold colourway jersey, and piped edges with the OVO tape on all seams for that sportswear inspired branded vibe.

PERFORMANCE JERSEY SUIT
To inaugurate Drake’s naming of the city of Toronto as officially The 6ix, this was made using one of the first prototypes of our New Jersey knit cloths with a red underside - the Raptors new colourway released that year. The suit is one of our proudest and main innovations in tailoring; a suit that looks like a business suit but wears comfortably like a tracksuit.

GLOBAL AMBASSADOR BUSINESS SUIT X RAPTORS RETRO CARTER JERSEY LINED SUIT
To celebrate the first “Drake Night” and to thank the Raptors organization, Drake specially ordered this suit from us and showed it off on national TV. It was all over the media that day. Michael still remembers that day running around and completing the jacket with the entire team and delivering it 1 hour before tip-off. This style of lining jackets with a team jersey has since become an innovation standard in bespoke tailoring.
