Meet Shano. For his wedding we created a textured grey three piece suit with a silk blue pocket square and matching tie. It was important that he matched his bride’s gown so we helped him develop the right hue of blue that would adhere as his accent colour. An added element of his suit included a sleek sheen to the fabric so as the light hit it, it ran off his outfit and this created a glowing effect.
How did you meet? Long story short, a mutual friend introduced me to Tanya’s sister thinking that we would hit it off. We did not (in the romantic sense), but instantly became very close friends. This lead to her introducing me to Tanya, Tanya and I becoming best friends over a couple of years and eventually falling for each other.
What three characteristics describe your wedding? Family, Friends & Love.
What was your most memorable moment? I remember a number of picture perfect moments. Some of my favourites: Seeing my bride for the first time walking down the aisle (it was especially nice because in Hindu weddings, the groom sits up on the mandap by himself for an hour or more and she was a welcome sight). Our creative photo session at Liberty Grand while our guests were enjoying the pre-reception cocktail hour below us in the courtyard, our first dance and the dance a massive group of family/friends put on for us at the reception…..not to mention every incredible speech.
What was your inspiration for your wedding? Can’t really pinpoint a source of inspiration. We’d always wanted our wedding to be in downtown Toronto and wanted both the wedding and reception to reflect us in terms of style, ambiance and atmosphere. Happy to say that all those things were achieved with the help of so many people whom we could never thank enough.
Where was your honeymoon? The French Riviera (Nice, Cannes & Monaco) and the Amalfi Coast in Italy.
